Introducing a New Wrestling Program
The inception of this program comes after the recent discontinuation of the Jiu-jitsu program. Stepping into this new venture is Ana Karla Farias, a dedicated PE teacher with a black belt in Jiu-jitsu and extensive experience in wrestling. Ana Karla is passionately working to get the wrestling program off the ground, bringing her expertise and enthusiasm to the forefront.
What makes this program even more exciting is the opportunity it presents for the participants. In just a few months, selected individuals from the program will have the chance to travel and compete in a wrestling tournament. This is not just an opportunity to showcase their skills but also a chance to experience growth, camaraderie, and the thrill of competition.
Our organization, Uberlândia Development Initiatives (UDI), is committed to supporting this program every step of the way. We're providing travel funds for the upcoming tournament, ensuring that financial constraints don't hinder the dreams and aspirations of these young athletes. We've recently sent $1000 to Estação Vida, 3/4 of which will go toward those travel expenses, and part of which will also go towards purchasing a couple of portable AC units for the classrooms. With the Brazilian heat becoming increasingly challenging, these units will help create a more comfortable learning and training environment for the kids.
We're excited about the potential of this wrestling program and the positive impact it will have on the youth involved. We look forward to sharing updates, pictures, and videos as the program progresses. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous donors, whose support makes all of this possible. Together, we're making a difference in the lives of the young people at Estação Vida, providing them with opportunities to learn, grow, and excel.
Stay tuned for more updates on this inspiring journey!
